Good Afternoon, Grade 3 Families! We hope you're having a great weekend with family and friends. Please remember to look over our Feedback Friday from this week, sign and return it to your teacher! With Halloween coming up we wanted to send out a reminder that while costumes are permitted to be worn all day, those with masks, weapons or exceptionally scary ones are not. Students are allowed to bring in snacks/treats for their class on the 31st if they would like. Please be mindful of peanut allergies in grade 3! The children had a lot of fun making a music video this week about the 7 continents, we hope to show it to you at the upcoming interviews. SLA update - the results from our government SLA's will be shared with you at interviews at the end of November. This week we will focus on literacy, math and science pertaining to our class novel study. NO SCHOOL Friday, November 1st. Have a great day! See you tomorrow :)

Good Morning Grade 3 Families! We hope you had a restful long weekend filled with fun and family time! The book fair was very well attended this year. Thank you to all the families that donated books to our classrooms - they are already well loved. This week we will continue to expand our knowledge of patterns and move into increasing and decreasing patterns with numbers. Ask your child to create an increasing pattern for you, they loved this! We will be moving the focus of Social Studies from us and our community to Peru very soon! The grade 3's are very excited to see more lama's like they did on the introduction video we watched. We noticed both similarities and differences about Peru compared to Calgary! Please continue to read 10 minutes a night with your child, as we are already noticing growth during literacy time and hope to continue this trend!
